LUCE GIUDECCA
Born from the remarkable designs of Mariano Fortuny, Luce Giudecca is the only boutique lighting in the world created exclusively with Fortuny fabrics which are still produced in the same factory and on the same machines, using the same secret process and techniques as developed by Mariano Fortuny nearly a century ago. The original lamps were built by Mariano Fortuny at the beginning of the 1900's in the Palazzo Pesaro-Orfei, the artist's residence and workshop in the Sestiere San Marco. They are still displayed today in their original setting, now a renowned museum owned and operated by the city of Venice know as the Museo Fortuny, alongside much of Mariano Fortuny's incredible body of work. Each Luce Giudecca lamp is hand crafted on the Giudecca, a small island in Venice.
